The PADI Divemaster course is your first step into the world of professional diving on leadership level. PADI Divemasters are recognized as experts in diving knowledge and specialists in scuba diving, this course will teach all necessary contents to achieve your plan and to fulfill the expectations on a diver of Divemaster level:
- professional
- role model
- ability to control and manage diving activities of divers in training and certified divers.
PADI Divemaster are members of PADI, Professional Association of Diving Instructors, the biggest diving organization world-wide. As a PADI Divemaster you will receive publications and news by the "Undersea Journal" and the "Member News", have access to PADI teaching materials, can assist on student divers training and have access to a professional diving insurance. Last but not least you will be able to generate income from scuba diving.
During your training you will be a part of real diving business, improve your dive skills and theory knowledge and use your knowledge in practical applications during your internship. During the knowledge development sessions you will study:
- supervision of general diving activities
- assisting student divers
- diving physics
- physiology
- equipment
- decompression theory and diving tables (RDP)
- Divemaster conducted programs
- risk management
- diving industry
- and last but not least you career as a professional diver
During your internship you will train the following skills:
- drawing underwater maps
- problem management
- Divemaster conducted programs
You will accompany following diving activities:
- Open Water Diver, confined water dive
- four additional dives in confined water of any PADI course
- min. one open water dive of the Open Water Diver course
- min. one open water dive of a continuous education program course
- three more open water dives of any PADI course
- guided dive with certified divers not in a formal course
Duration:
- 4 weeks incl. knowledge development,
- 2 weeks excl. knowledge development
Prerequisites:
Certification: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent, PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent, medic first aid course within the last 24 months (i.e. PADI EFR), min. 20 logged dives on course start, 60 logged dives for certification
Medical examination: with positive result and not older than 12 month
Minimum age: 18 years on course start date
