SSI Try Scuba & Basic Diver

Discover a new world, feel weight-less and see more animals within 30 minutes than by walking for several hours in a forest.... unbelievable? This is not true? Where I find this planet? You can find it just a door-step from your life. 75% of our world is covered with water and you just have to descend to discover this new, amazing and unique world.

The SSI Try Scuba program is your introduction to the underwater world. This entry-level program gives you the opportunity to experience the underwater world, in a confined water or pool setting. You will earn the SSI Try Scuba recognition rating. The SSI Basic Diver program providesstudents with the necessary skills and knowledge to complete introductory scuba dives with an SSI Open Water Instructor in an open water environment and you will earn the SSI Basic Diver recognition rating.

Duration:

½ day

Prerequisites:
  • minimum age: Try Dive: 8 years / Basic DIver: 10 years
  • maximum depth: Try Dive 5 meters / Basic Diver 12 meters
  • permitted diving area: Try Dive: Confined water / Basic Diver: confined water and open water
  • Validity: Try Dive - only single dive / Basic Diver - the student may dive for a period of 6 month under direct supervision of an instructor. After 6 month the program needs to be repeated
